Abour President, Stan Archacki:

After relocating to Lake County in 2014, I gained a firsthand appreciation for the important role local agencies play in protecting communities. In 2017, I visited the district office to personally thank staff for their dedicated response efforts during the county's flood events, an experience that reinforced my respect for public service and community resilience.

I hold a degree in Environmental Science and completed two internship assignments with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), totaling approximately seven months. I then spent 29 years with the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD), where I primarily worked in the Wastewater Inspection Services Group. During my tenure, I helped coordinate and develop pollution prevention initiatives, implemented regulatory permit programs, and played a key role in developing and administering a sewer lateral compliance program designed to reduce inflow and infiltration (I&I) into the sanitary sewer system.

In addition to wastewater programs, I supported water system inspections, environmental monitoring and sampling activities, and budget preparation and review. My career has been dedicated to protecting public health, preserving environmental quality, and ensuring the effective operation of essential public infrastructure.
